Have a life-threatening situation to write about?

After you have been writing for as many years as we have, it becomes second nature to view life's experiences as writing material.  Have a life-threatening situation?  Great.  Now, provided you survive, you can put it in your memoir, compose a poem about it, find others with a similar situation to interview for a self-help book, or give it to a
fictional character.  The tougher and more dramatic the experience, the better for your writing.

Something that seems to be outside of you, the observer, the soul, is looking at what others would consider to be intolerable and saying, "Wow!  Will this ever be great for my writing!"

Writers are a weird bunch but at least we have a happy place to go when life hands us a bushel full of lemons.

Remember, life is your page.
